How do you promote an insurance agency on TikTok?

A stock photo of an umbrella over a house doesn't stop a scroll, but a client saying "I didn't think my policy covered water damage until it did" does. TikTok rewards footage that looks like it wasn't made for TikTok, so the strongest opening for an agency is a real client on camera, a real claim number blurred out, or you at your desk saying the coverage gap out loud. Nine-by-sixteen, 1080 × 1920, fifteen to twenty-five seconds, with the caption sitting above the bottom third so it clears TikTok's own buttons and username. Upload the clip or the quote and the studio builds the rest around it.

The first three seconds: name the scenario, not the product

Open on the situation your customer is quietly worried about: water across a finished basement floor, a car on a flatbed, a storm-stripped roof, with one line of text naming it. Then say your town. Local recognition is the hook, because a viewer three streets away is deciding whether this is about them. Skip the logo card, the family-on-a-lawn stock shot and the word “comprehensive” in second one.

Format, length and safe zones for TikTok

TikTok is 9:16 vertical, and the studio renders 1080x1920 H.264 MP4 at any length from 5 to 60 seconds. Keep the middle of the frame clear for your message: the right edge carries the action buttons and the bottom carries the handle, caption and sound. Text placed near those areas is partly hidden. The plan you approve shows the cut list and every on-screen line before a single credit is spent.

A 20-second TikTok for my insurance agency. Open on a real client testimonial clip I'm uploading, her saying she almost went without flood coverage. Cut to me at my desk explaining what a standard policy usually misses. On-screen text: "Ask about this before you renew." Calm, direct narration, my voice if possible, otherwise generated. End card: agency name, city, and "free coverage review" with the center of the frame clear for the caption.

Questions people ask

Does a testimonial need to be professionally filmed?

No. A phone clip of a real client talking works better on TikTok than a polished one, because it doesn't look like an ad. Upload what you have and the studio composes it with text, your logo and an end card around the raw footage.

How long should an insurance TikTok run?

Fifteen to twenty-five seconds covers one scenario and one call to action without losing the viewer. The studio can render anywhere from 5 to 60 seconds, but a single coverage gap explained well doesn't need more than that.
