How Do You Promote a Giveaway for Your Bookstore?
Open on the actual stack of books, held or on the counter, not the store logo — a viewer has to see what they might win before they read anything else. The second frame is the entry rule in six words or fewer: follow, comment, or tag to enter. A bookstore giveaway loses people in the gap between prize and rule, so keep both inside the first five seconds. The studio composes this from photos of the actual titles you're giving away, your shop's colors and fonts pulled from your website, and text timed to the cut, not a stock shot of generic books on a shelf.

The first three seconds: a cover in a hand
Open on the book itself, held and turning: a hand lifting it off the table, the cover catching the shop's light, a thumb riffling the pages. Film on a phone at the counter. Put the title and the author on screen immediately, because half the people watching are deciding whether they have already read it. The shelves and the shop front make a better ending than an opening.

Copy that makes entry obvious
Name the prize in the headline instead of teasing it: Win the six-quart cast iron Dutch oven. State the entry cost plainly, because free to enter, one entry per person is the question everyone has. Make the call to action a single verb with a deadline attached: Tag a friend before Sunday. Let narration read the three steps aloud while subtitles hold the rules on screen for anyone watching with the sound off.

Paste this into the studio chat, or change the names and numbers first.
A 15-second Reel for our bookstore giveaway. Open on the three books we're giving away fanned out on the counter, then a hand stacking them. On-screen text: WIN THIS STACK, then FOLLOW + COMMENT YOUR FAVORITE GENRE TO ENTER. Warm, upbeat instrumental music, cuts on the beat. End on our store name, city, and the entry deadline, Sunday at midnight. Vertical, 9:16, keep the bottom third clear for the caption.
Questions people ask
Should the giveaway prize or the store logo come first?
The prize. A viewer decides in the first second whether to keep scrolling, and a logo doesn't answer 'what could I win.' Show the actual books — titles visible if possible — then bring the store name in at the end card, not the opening frame.
How long should a bookstore giveaway video be?
Fifteen seconds covers it: about five for the prize, five for the entry rule, five for the deadline and store name. Render in 9:16 for Reels, Stories, and TikTok, with a 1:1 version to keep for Facebook or a feed post.
