How Do You Promote a Hotel on Facebook Reels?

Someone scrolling Reels on a Tuesday night is not dreaming, they're deciding — a weekend is coming and they haven't booked anywhere. A Reel that opens on the pool at golden hour loses to the one that opens on a rate. Lead with the room you actually have open: the number, the two nights, the price, the dates it ends. The studio builds this at 1080 × 1920 for the feed, cuts to the beat if you upload a track, and pulls your colors and logo straight from your hotel's website for the end card.

The first three seconds: the real room, at the real hour

Open inside the room type you are trying to sell, shot at the hour the light works, with the window doing the talking. One line of text: the room name and the rate you want booked. Guests are comparing rooms, not brands, so lead with the room. Keep the lobby chandelier, the drone pass over the roof and the logo sting out of the opening. They say nothing about what a guest gets for the money.

The first seconds, on-screen text and narration

Open on a real moment rather than a title card, and put one short line of on-screen text over it straight away. Let the narration continue the thought instead of reading the line back. Keep sentences spoken-length so they finish before the next cut. Ask for captions and for cuts snapped to the beat of your music, so the Reel holds up muted and moves with the track when the sound is on.

A 20-second Facebook Reel for our hotel, promoting the Garden Suite at a fixed two-night rate this weekend only. Open on the room door opening onto the actual suite, then the bed, then the balcony view, then the bathroom. On-screen text: Garden Suite, two nights, [rate], this weekend only. Calm narration, one sentence per shot. Upbeat but low-key music, cuts on the beat. End on our hotel name, city and "book direct" with the offer dates repeated, keeping the center clear for the Reels buttons.

Questions people ask

What should the first frame of a hotel Reel actually show?

The room being sold, not the property. Open on the door opening onto the Garden Suite or wherever the offer lives — the real bed, the real light at the hour a guest would actually see it. Save the lobby and the pool for later shots; they don't answer why book this week.

How do I write the on-screen text so it survives a two-second read?

Room, rate, dates — in that order, nothing else. "Garden Suite, two nights, this weekend only" reads in one glance. An adjective like "unforgettable" or "luxurious" costs a word and answers nothing; cut it and the rate stays visible.
