How do you promote a grand opening for a pest control business?
Nobody's ever chosen a pest control company because the logo looked clean. They choose because a neighbor's yard is clear, or a technician showed up and sealed the gap under the porch. Your grand opening video should open on that: real footage of a truck pulling up, a technician at a foundation line, a before-and-after of a trap or a treated area. Fifteen to twenty seconds, 9:16 for Stories and Reels, with the date and address on screen by the middle third. Skip the stock spray bottle. Show the actual job.

The message: same day, discreet, guaranteed
Three lines carry the whole ad. How fast you come, whether that is same day or a named window. How quiet it is, including an unmarked van if you offer one and no sign at the door. And what happens if it comes back, named as a guarantee period with free return visits. Add licensing and the fact that treatments are safe around children and pets, which every parent asks.

Format, length and the variants to keep
Render 9:16 at 15 to 20 seconds for Stories and Reels, then a 1:1 cut for feed posts and local groups. A 16:9 version fits your website header and any screen in the window. Make a second variant that swaps "Opening Saturday" for "Now open" and re-render it the night before, so the same footage keeps working after the doors are open. Both versions stay in the project.
Open your doors with a short video that names the date and the addressA brief you can paste
Paste this into the studio chat, or change the names and numbers first.
A 15-second vertical video for our pest control company's grand opening on Saturday, June 14th. Open on real footage of our technician sealing a gap under a client's porch, then a quick before-and-after shot of a cleared crawl space. On-screen text: Now Open — Free Inspections This Week. Calm, confident narration, one sentence. End on our business name, address, and phone number, held for two seconds.
Questions people ask
Should the video show the technician's face or just the work?
Show both if you have it. A face builds trust for a service that happens inside someone's home, but the work itself — a sealed gap, a cleared trap, a treated foundation line — is what proves the claim. Lead with the work, then cut to the technician for a few seconds.
What if I don't have before-and-after footage yet?
Use whatever real photos or clips you have from past jobs, even a phone photo of a trap or a treated yard. The studio composes from what you upload; it doesn't invent footage, so a real photo of an actual job beats a generic graphic every time.
