How do you promote a discount code on trade show screens?

A booth screen has one job here: put the code in front of someone walking past at a normal pace, six feet away, with the hall talking over it. That means the offer goes first — what's discounted and by how much — then the code itself, large and held on screen long enough to photograph, then the date it stops working. Skip the setup shot of your logo spinning; nobody's standing still for that. The studio builds this as a 16:9 loop for the booth monitor, at 12 seconds, with the code rendered in a bundled font big enough to read from across the aisle, then hands you the same file as a Story or Reel for the follow-up post.

Format, length and how the studio renders it

Landscape booth screens take 16:9 and totem screens take 9:16; the studio renders either as H.264 MP4 from 5 to 60 seconds. Keep loops short, around 15 to 30 seconds, so the message comes around often. Use very large type with strong contrast against hall lighting, keep a wide safe margin for screens mounted high, and confirm the resolution your booth player expects.

Product, then code, then expiry

Start on the product with the regular price beside it, then strike that price and show the new one within the first three seconds. From three to eight seconds, put the code itself in large type, centered, with nothing moving behind it. Use the last few seconds for the terms that matter, minimum order and end date, and bring the code back for the final frame so it is the last thing on screen.

A brief you can paste

Paste this into the studio chat, or change the names and numbers first.

A 12-second video for our trade show booth screen, 16:9, looping. Open on our product shot with the text '20% off today only' across the top third. Cut to the code SHOW20 in large centered text, held for at least 3 seconds, using our brand colors from our website. End card with the booth number and 'code expires at 5pm today'. No narration, just on-screen text, upbeat instrumental track under it.

Questions people ask

Will people actually stop to read a code off a booth screen?

Not many will stop, but they don't need to — most read it walking past or glance twice while talking to someone at the booth. That's why the code needs to be large and held for a few seconds, not flashed once in a montage of other shots.

Should the code change every day of the show?

That works well as a plan: brief the studio once, then ask for a new version each morning with the same layout and a different code or expiry line. Each version is a separate render, so the file for Tuesday won't overwrite Monday's.
