Make an Event Invitation Video With the Date, the Address and a Clear RSVP
An invitation video is doing the work a printed card used to do, except it has to survive a feed. It needs to make the room look worth leaving the house for, then hand over four facts: what, when, where and how to say yes. Everything else is optional.

How to make it work
From the room to the RSVP card
Open with movement from the venue: a crowded stall, a stage being set, a table laid. Between three and ten seconds, show what actually happens there, one shot per thing, with a short label on each. From ten seconds, hold the details card: date, start time, street address and price or free entry. Keep that card on screen for at least three seconds, because that is the frame people screenshot.
Copy that reads as an invitation
Lead with the event name and one line about why it exists: Northside Makers Market, forty local makers in one room. Say the cost outright, since free entry is the strongest line an invitation has. End with an instruction tied to the day: Doors at ten, Saturday the eighteenth. Narration can read the date and the address aloud, while subtitles hold the street name so nobody has to guess at the spelling.
Where it runs and which cuts to make
Render 9:16 at fifteen seconds for Stories and Reels, 1:1 for the feed, and 16:9 for the newsletter and a screen in the window. Build three versions on the same plan: a save-the-date weeks out, a week-before cut with the program on screen, and a day-of version that just says doors open tonight. Each is a re-render with a new card, not a new video.
A brief you can paste
Paste this into the studio chat, or change the names and numbers first.
Fifteen-second vertical invitation for Northside Makers Market, Saturday October 18, ten to four, at the old tram depot on Rowan Street. Free entry, forty makers, food trucks outside. Use the six photos from last spring and our logo, bright and busy feel, upbeat music with cuts on the beat, English narration and subtitles on the date and address.
Questions people ask
How do I make sure the address is readable?
Put it in the brief as the line that has to stay on screen at the end, and keep it in subtitles as well as narration. The plan you approve shows where that card sits and how long it holds before any credits are spent on the render.
Can I get a version for the screen in our window?
Yes. Re-render the same project at 16:9 and it becomes a widescreen MP4 suitable for an in-store screen, alongside the vertical cut for Stories. Versions are kept, so both live in the same project and you can re-render either one.
Is a day-of reminder a separate job?
It is a new render of the same project with an updated brief, so you approve a fresh quote for it. Because pricing is per second of rendered video plus the planning, a short reminder cut is cheaper than the original invitation.
